I use to say Summer was my favorite season but as I get older, I am pretty sure that Fall has my heart. I don’t know, maybe it is the festivals (many of which I am eyeing up for our calendar), the sweaters and scarves, hot chocolate and coffees, boots, pumpkins, or the holiday season which is just around the corner! I love Fall.
6-9 Months Baby Must Haves
Well we have a 9 month old in our home. She is successfully crawling which means nothing is safe. I remember I once said, “I can’t wait until she crawls,” and another fellow Mommy looked at me with a furrowed brow and said, “No, you don’t.”
“Cranky, much?” I thought.
What I did not realize was just how much chasing I would be doing.
The first 6 weeks of motherhood, let’s be real
I love that this Blog has become a breeding ground for Mommy (and Daddy) peers and I to question our sanity and offer words of encouragement.
Months prior, a Mommy Friend secretly reached out to me and asked if she could share a “little secret” and then proceeded to gift me with the knowledge of her pregnancy, which at the time was “shhh!” She had yet to make an announcement but felt comfortable enough sharing with me because she found comfort in my Blog. I think it was this One. It was one of the first moments since I started the Blog that I felt good about what I was doing because my ultimate goal has been to generate discussion, become a source of relation and develop connections.
Since then, her little secret became a big announcement, and now her announcement a sweet little baby girl! Congrats, again!

Dear Lauren
I never knew you, and you never knew me. But somehow over the course of the last few years of the nearly 3,000 people whose lives were so tragically taken from this earth on 9/11, your name keeps presenting itself to me.
The first time I learned of your story, I was volunteering at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanskville, PA.
September 11, 2001:
I remember. It was picture day at my high school. I was in the school’s auditorium waiting for our classmates to finish up so we could be dismissed. The initial whispers of what had occurred began here. A few minutes later the hallway bell rang loud and we were scattered, heading into different directions to our next class. The memory that forever exists in my mind like an image that has been burned into a TV screen, was in those moments. I was walking past a fellow classroom and as I looked in I noticed the usually rowdy bunch of upperclassmen were still, all faces glued to a TV. And, in my memory, I swear it was slow motion, I looked ahead and my Spanish Teacher, whose class I was heading to, came running from the classroom across the hall and into a fellow teacher’s room exclaiming, “Turn on the TV.”
I saw the World Trade Centers on fire.

Easy Stuffed Peppers
When the going gets tough, the tough make simple, easy dinners. And, then everyone stuffs their faces and then everyone goes to bed. Well at least that is what happens these days in our home. I will not take full credit at all for this recipe. It actually exists on the back side of those bagged baby peppers. It is a popular appetizer among our family, but with a stuffing as good as they produce, I decided to make it into a full fledged easy dinner recipe. So, I guess you can say I was inspired!

Get Your Shop On – Labor Day Sales
Happy Labor Day, folks!
If you have a clingy baby who is into pulling hair, screaming at the sight of strangers and becoming a daredevil who jumps at the chance to lunge herself out of her stroller (no seriously) then you are not shopping! Nope, you’re not.
So, thank you digital shopping cart! I can even buy those earrings and jeans on my cell phone as a dash across the room to save her from putting that piece of dirt that is invisible to the adult eye but baby radar vision can pick-up up on and place in mouth. I mean seriously we just mastered tray to mouth baby puff food eating, how in the heck she finds pieces of food, dirt, fuzz, etc is beyond me.
This Is My Village
I tend to be a horrible photographer. Actually, I should just not use the words “I” or “photographer” in the same sentence unless I am saying, “I am hiring a photographer.” But, as I was flipping through my phone’s images, I came across the one above which I took last week.
You see on the left is my grandmother, Meema, my sweet baby girl and my Mom. As I was behind the lens, four generations of women are interconnected in this shot. I am in love. My heart is full. It is a picture that I know I will forever cherish.VIEW STORY »
Wednesday Wisdom
Wednesday Wisdom back at ya! I started thinking about this reoccurring post theme and I realized to some of you I may seem like I am trying to tote myself as some mindful human being who walks around giving advice like a martyr. I am not. Honestly, the origin of my Wednesday Wisdom post series came out of pure therapy for me. You see I am a words kind of gal. My love language is Words of Affirmation. So, it is only fitting that when I need a boast in energy, confidence or confirmation that all will be okay, I turn to words.
When I get down on myself, stressed and frustrated I always find myself on Pinterest, thumbs ferociously searching for a quote, a sign, a line or two that make me sigh in relief and even on occasion, cry in hope or exhaustion. My only intent with Wednesday Wisdom is to share with you what I have found inspiring throughout the week.
I don’t know why I am explaining myself. This is my here blog, I do what I want. But, you will also find as you read along with me and my life journeys I tend to put weight on what others think. It truly is a terrible trait.
No Bake Cookies
I am not a baker. I wish I was.
I am pretty sure I scrambled eggs in a cake once as I added the hot butter. And, I work too fast, which means I sometimes mix up the directions. “Oh, 1 cup of flour not 2!” In my defense, the ingredient below was 2 tsp of Baking Soda. Minor mix-ups, I tell ya.
One thing I can promise is that my No Bake Cookie recipe is easy and delicious. Plus, if this hot mess of a baker can achieve cookie success, you are golden.
You Will Always Be My Baby
You little lady, you rocked my world 13 years ago.
Finding out Mom was pregnant, well let me tell you… that was just so embarrassing. I remember the day she told me like it was yesterday. “I am pregnant,” she declared, with a smile on her face. Although, there was a definite nervousness too, as if she knew telling me could go one of two ways. Terribly good or terribly bad. I am so sorry to say, it went the latter.
